ReachGlobal, Responding to Crisis Situations

Ella Miller has been an active member of an EFCA-member congregation for almost 20 years. As a church member, she was active in her congregation's women's groups and went on a variety of short-term mission trips, including several to New Orleans. Ella has also been a commissioned Stephen Minister for many years. In Stephen Ministry, Ella found a calling to bring God's love to people who are hurting. After many years pursuing a career in software project management in the Chicago area, she decided to make a change and follow her calling to help the people of Louisiana. Ella went into service as a short-term crisis response missionary in 2008 and was accepted as a long term credentialed missionary in 2009. She lives and works in Covington, Louisiana, where her focus is on relational ministry, caring for people's emotional and spiritual needs and training new disciples. Ella serves with Touch Global, responding to crisis situations around the country and around the world. She is currently stationed in the New Orleans area, but makes frequent trips to our Hope Church area. Ella has a special ministry to hurting people, providing hope and encouragement in the presence of physical loss.
