Morning
When you order toast on Nicaragua, it is PERFECTLY toasted. It is sold toasted, unlike in the US where you can only buy toast "ingredients". It also seems quite stale to an American palate.
Evening
Hello from Nicaragua!
Today we had to swap sessions around due to a missing computer file. It made for a long morning for me, but it worked out well in the end.
It's surprising to me how much baggage and false teaching is going on here in Nicaragua. We had questions from folks who insisted it was sinful for a woman to wear pants. But see-through skirts don't seem to be an issue! I got several interesting questions about temptation and sin - does God tempt or does Satan? Is incest a sin? (!) What is incest? (!) (In fact two of these questions were specifically answered, so someone wasn't paying attention!)
Please continue to pray for: 1) the bulb - it's still hanging on and we are past the 50% point now... 2) the attendees - that their hearts would be open to the truths being presented 3) the teachers - that we would not get in the way of the Holy Spirit moving in peoples lives 4) the translators - that their words would be accurate and they would learn too.
Thanks for your prayers. Tomorrow I'm the "go-fer" guy with Cairo, and Steve and Vern will be doing the teaching. Friday I have the morning sessions on Eschatology.
It's been a great blessing to be here. I'm getting to know the other team members better, and going through a course like this and encouraging one another really is good for fellowship.
Hasta luego,
Cassius

Hey guys, I wanted you to
Hey guys,
I wanted you to know that we are praying for you as you continue to teach and serve in Nicaragua. I pray you would be encouraged and see many fruits of your labor. I know the people where you are serving are blessed, encouraged, and thankful for your presence and for the truth of your teaching.
Blessings to you all.
